Plastic and metal INJECTION molding - tools since 1950

Until recently, the use of plastic materials in airplanes was limited to the internal decoration (ABS - PVC). However, in case of fire, these materials generate intense heat and release toxic gases with a high optical density. And that can reduce the chances of survival of the passengers and crew because, during an emergency evacuation, every second of delay can cost lives. In addition, these materials do not meet the anti-crash standards (very high mechanical stresses).

The appearance and use of high-tech materials or composites not only makes it possible to meet the new standards of the aeronautic authorities (SPEC AIRBUS ATS 1000.01 and Federal Aviation Regulation Far 25.853), but above all to replace metal structural parts and thus to save weight while improving performances.

High-tech materials: PPS, PEEK, PSU,PES, PEC, PEI, LCP, PPA.

Composite materials: same as above with glass fibers (short or long - Verton), carbon fibers or aramid fibers. The injection of the technical parts does not require large series, and each new project is a challenge that FERONYL strives to meet successfully.
